Once upon a time, in a dry wasteland, my mum was told to push… And push she did. Moments later out popped little me. The doctor who took charge of the delivery looked over baby me in amazement. Attached to my head was a little berét and just below my stubby nose was a professionally fashioned moustache that even curled at the ends. He held me up for my parents to see and according to my mum herself, that was the day she knew that I was going to be something special. What that was??? Well, my story is still in the beginning stages but when we do hit the ending, it will be a 6 part series made for some streaming service.
You’re probably reading this and thinking to yourself, “What exactly did that delivery room staff see in me?” It’s hard to say but according to my mum, it was the full grown moustache… But personally I know what all makes me the bees knees.
I have knowledge of film like no other. Akira Kurosawa, Dario Argento, Jean-Luc Goddard, and Sergio Leone have all inspired my filmmaking along with more modern day filmmakers such as Edgar Wright, Taika Waititi, and Guillermo del Toro. I’m a passionate nerd who has her eye on the prize and that prize is a beautifully crafted film with top notch editing and lighting. I not only grew up watching movies by the hour but I also sketched a lot. I’m a filmmaker with big ideas and those ideas cannot be properly conveyed without gorgeous art to accompany it. I’ve studied character design, prop design, and environmental design with people like Shannon Eric Denton (DC, Marvel), and Troy Gustafson (Disney). I’m a triple threat with a lot to offer to any production. Storyboards? Lighting? Armpit farts? I’ve got you covered.
After years of moustache therapy, I no longer have one. But perhaps one day he (yes, he…) will return. Maybe not as dramatic as Christopher Nolan’s Batman, but more like Rihanna after her 6 year retreat.
