Entry 11: Critically Acclaimed!

Nothing like seeing your work being considered part of the “Critically Acclaimed Films” on Netflix! Feels good and I can’t help but be overwhelmed with pride.

Entry 08: Super Mario Bros!

Took my niece and older nephew to see the new “Super Mario Bros” movie. We had a lot of fun and of course Hannah was going ga-ga over Peach. She has a wee bit of a crush on Anya Taylor-Joy. The film ended up being better than I expected and you can really tell Jack Black and Charlie Day had a blast voicing their characters. As weird as it was to have Chris Pratt as Mario, I realized that maybe that was for the best because his normal voice could get annoying after awhile. If you get the chance, go check it out. Like I said, it was better than I expected and I wish I could talk more about it but I fear ruining it for you.

Entry 07: Zoo

A weekend ago or so I think, my family and I attended to Phoenix Zoo where they have a baby Pygmy Hippo! I was properly thrilled to see a hippo in person let alone a BABY one. Unfortunately the only pictures I have of him are his butt. I did take my time though just watching that baby butt wiggle. If it’s not obvious yet, Hippos are my favourite animal next to Manatees, Rhinos, and Flamingos! :D

The time we spent at the zoo was magical for my baby nephew, Henry. He loved seeing the lions and of course the Meerkats. But I think his favourite was the Capuchin baby monkeys. There was one who was swinging in circles on a rope which had Henry gleefully giggling. Love that little man.

I’m hoping to find time to go back again but maybe with just my Sis so we can draw the animals and take our time looking at everything.

Much Love! <3

Entry 06: Renaissance Festival

Spent all of Saturday with my bestie Kira and my baby nephew, Henry. It was a lot of fun and I’m glad we decided it best to take our time. Unfortunately Kira broke her big toe so she was in a boot and having a baby to meander with can take some time.

This was the last weekend for the festival which really saddens me and I can’t wait for it to come back around next year and load up on honey again. Homer Simpson Voice-“Mmmmm, Honey”. Kira so kindly kept track by taking photos, something I tend to forget to do these days. Baby Henry met a dragon, to which he was slightly taken aback by but over some time with a wee bit of coercion, he happily petted the dragon and even was gifted a coin!

It’s usually an hour and a half to two hour drive for us so we made sure we got outta there before everyone else did. It was the most packed I’ve ever seen it! But once we made it home, I gave Henry a little bubble bath and I took a long and needed shower.

Come Sunday, Henry spent the night so the two of us played monster most of the day, then on some occasions he would pull out a toy to play with such as Hot Wheels (Which I need to stop purchasing them for him but it’s hard not to.) His favourite toys though will always be his Teddy Bears and Bayay (Blanket).

I’m excited for Quiz night on Tuesday with my grandma. We have been on a winning streak for weeks now. :D My favourite part of the whole thing is giving ourselves naughty names just because it makes my GeeGee laugh. :D I’ll let y’all know how things go.

Auntie, Henry, and Kira.

Entry 05: Comfort Characters

We all have them. Who are yours? Right now I’ve been feeling Rick Pratt and Vyvyan Bastard from “The Young Ones.” If you have never seen the series, please check it out! I think it’s on Prime right now.

Entry: 03 San Diego Comic Con

I am excited this year to be attending SDCC. If you are a creator of any kind I highly recommend checking out how you can get a creator badge because I’ve been able to go to SDCC for free for the last 5 years. It really doesn’t require much to prove you are an artist in the industry! It’s worth it considering how much the tickets are for just a few days. SDCC is also a great way of introducing yourself and getting to know other artists in the industry so I usually go for business reasons. I tend to dress nicely versus dressing in costume but that’s not a requirement. I’m just old school. Please check out the tickets and see if you can qualify to go for free.

Entry 01: The Beginning

I thought I’d create a blog here to just get out my thoughts. What kind of thoughts? Who knows… Our days move and change so fast, it could be a welcome or sometimes unwelcome surprise.

I hope this area can be a place of relief. A place of calm where I can talk myself through whatever subject be it deep or not. Don’t worry, I won’t get existential on you all.

As of late I’ve been thinking, “Hey eejit, why don’t you do your own thing? You’ve got the looks, your pretty face… And don’t forget the importance of BoDy LaNguAGE-HA!” But really, why don’t I? I have all the free time to spend on a project of my very own so why not “JUST DO IT!”

So I present to you an idea I’m going to wholly put my time into and that is… Dun DUN Dunnnn… Make a YouTube channel! I know, it’s not much of a groundbreaking revelation. It was bound to happen. But with this channel I’ll properly review films that you may not hear much about due to it being foreign or straight up old-and when I say old I MEAN OLD. I’ll make it fun too… Too many documentaries or even other YouTubers seem to take a very dower stance when discussing these particular subjects. No-Not here, we are not having that! It will be full of laughs and why not a bit of animation?
